E&K, LLC to produce advanced aluminum, copper battery cable systems
DETROIT – E&K, LLC, a new joint venture to produce world-class quality aluminum and copper battery cable systems designed to meet current and future needs of a rapidly evolving automotive industry, was unveiled today at the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council 2017 Conference in Detroit.
E&K combines the unbeatable quality and customer service of long-time certified minority automotive supplier EDS Manufacturing, with the engineering capabilities and resources of global manufacturer Kyungshin Holdings America. The new company includes a global footprint that spans Arizona and Michigan in the United States to Mexico, Korea and China.
“This new joint venture combines the diverse talents and expertise of two companies with a deep commitment to innovation, quality, customer satisfaction and the engineering resources for strong, ongoing research and development,” said Luis Moreno, E&K’s president. “Our combined strength provides OEMs and Tier suppliers a trusted minority business that can deliver the highest quality aluminum and copper battery cable systems and more at the most competitive prices.”
The need for lighter, more flexible products that are durable and easy to install is expected to become even more essential every step of the automotive supply chain, especially with the drive to connected and autonomous vehicles and growing fuel efficiency standards. E&K, LLC was created to help meet those needs with the latest, cutting-edge technologies in aluminum and copper battery cable systems.
“From design to delivery, we’re built to have a level of engagement, quality and service that sets us apart,” Moreno added. “This will allow our customers to have their wiring and battery cable needs met in one place from a well-established, proven minority supplier.”
The company has already been selected by a major automotive manufacturer to be a future supplier of battery cable systems.
